[LRFC] Lyra Alerts - Analytics

Hi everyone!

Simple Summary:

This LEAP proposes the development of Lyra Analytics, a comprehensive system that provides real-time analytics, reporting, and insights for the Lyra community. It aims to improve community engagement and attract new users by delivering valuable data and insights. The project will empower Lyra users by delivering key metrics, market trends, governance updates, and other important information. It seeks to improve analytics strategies and foster deeper engagement within the Lyra Protocol community.

Abstract:

This proposal addresses the growing need for reliable and accessible analytics and reporting tools in the expanding Lyra Protocol ecosystem. By providing valuable data and insights, the project aims to attract new users and increase community engagement.

While the current statistics provide valuable information for Lyra users within the platform, our system offers a unique approach to engage and market to users outside of the Lyra Protocol community. By providing the statistics directly on social networks such as Twitter, we can reach a wider audience and potentially attract new users who may not be familiar with Lyra Protocol. This differentiates our solution from the data displayed on dashboards, as it focuses on expanding the user base and increasing engagement beyond the existing community.

Motivation:

The existing analytics and reporting tools within the Lyra ecosystem may not effectively engage users outside of the community or attract new users unfamiliar with Lyra. Lyra Analytics aims to bridge this gap by providing statistics directly on various platforms, expanding the user base, and increasing engagement. The project aims to address the limitations of the current system and improve community participation.

The success of the project will be measured by:

  • User engagement metrics, such as the number of active users and interactions with the analytics system.
  • Adoption rate of the Lyra Analytics system among community members.
  • Positive user feedback and satisfaction with the system’s functionality and insights.

Specification:

The Lyra Analytics system will be developed using Python for backend development and Vue JS/Typescript for frontend implementation. It will leverage smart contract data, governance information, transaction history, and other relevant metrics to generate meaningful reports and visualizations. The system will include features such as real-time analytics, market trend analysis, and governance updates. The team will consist of experienced developers skilled in Python and Vue JS/Typescript.

We request a grant of 6000 USDT (equivalent in $LYRA) to cover the following expenses:

  • Developer compensation for the squad members involved in the project.
  • Server and hosting costs for deploying and maintaining the analytics system.
  • Ongoing maintenance and support to ensure the system’s continuous operation and improvements.

Rationale:

Lyra Analytics is designed to provide a user-friendly and accessible platform for users to access important analytics and insights related to the Lyra ecosystem.

  • Develop a real-time analytics system that covers key metrics, market trends, and governance updates.
  • Implement data collection and processing components, integrating with Lyra scs.
  • Build an intuitive interface with visualizations to present the analytics and insights effectively.
  • Conduct rigorous testing to ensure accuracy and reliability of the analytics system.
  • Deploy the Lyra Analytics system and gather user feedback for continuous improvements.

Test Cases:

You can see what a simplified version of the system looks like on this link (https://twitter.com/VelodromeAlerts ).

  • Week 1: Gather requirements, finalize technical specifications, and set up the development environment.
  • Week 2: Implement data collection and processing components, integrate with Lyra smart contracts, and develop the analytics and reporting functionalities.
  • Week 3: Build the interface, incorporate visualizations, conduct rigorous testing, and address any bugs or issues.
  • Week 4: Deploy the Lyra Protocol Analytics system, monitor its performance, gather user feedback, and make necessary optimizations.

We are happy to provide a beta version on various platforms for the community and contributors to test before deploying the finalized version with the requested changes.

Can you post an example of what metrics, market trends, etc you will include in these post?

Hi @MasterMojo, thank you for the reply! Our periodic updates will include the $LYRA price, trading volume on different exchanges, total value locked in the protocol, staking opportunities and rewards, governance participation (new proposal with significant likes/replies on the forum, new snapshot proposal), analysis of liquidity and trading pairs, growth and adoption of Lyra (more users using the protocol on a specific timing) to provide the Lyra community with valuable data. We are very open to ask the community for which type of data to be sourced to make sure the bot fits everyone’s expectation and is as efficient as possible.

Looks interesting, but I think the Lyra analytics we already have in place by our wizards are already super.

Not sure what extra information it will provide that cannot be found here:

Hi @AlvaroHK , thank you for the feedback! The Lyra current tools does provide interesting analytics, but only protocol users will look into it, which is why our goal goes beyond just displaying data. We aim to bring more users to the protocol by providing engaging analytics through real-time alerts. Our strategy involves leveraging social media platforms like Twitter to reach a wider audience and attract new users who may not be familiar with the protocol. We believe that combining data visualization with active engagement and marketing strategies will create a more interactive experience, ultimately driving adoption and community growth :slightly_smiling_face:

Thank you for the proposal! We do have some pretty robust stats and community bots for reporting trades on twitter https://twitter.com/Lyra_Live. I think this could be a great initiative for creating shareable content around Lyra’s traction. Have you considered applying for a grant to do this or even make one of the bots on your list?
